History of Moi University Alumni Association
Moi University Alumni Association (MUAA) maintains and enhances a highly engaged, vibrant community of alumni and friends worldwide.
The Moi University Alumni Association was established under the Universities Act of 1984. MUAA, with offices on the 1st floor of Moi University Administration and Senate Building, is the official association of all alumni of Moi University. There are over 90,000 of you, and as diverse as this community is, your shared experiences and memories of studying on our spectacular campus make for a very strong alumni network indeed. This network continues to grow, and it now has a wide footprint not only in Kenya, but spans across our continent and reaches all corners of the globe.
One of the Development & Alumni Department's main objectives is to broaden and strengthen our alumni database, so that we can keep you up to date with exciting developments at Moi University. We aim to do this through Moi University Alumni News, the magazine for alumni, and also news updates from schools or alumni project co-ordinators.
The purpose of the MUAA as stated in its Constitution is to promote the welfare of Moi University and to establish a mutually beneficial relationship between Moi University and its alumni. The MUAA is committed to helping alumni connect with the University and with fellow graduates through a wealth of Alumni Meetings and activities.
MUAA has constitutional duties to nominate candidates elected MUAA Executive board and to conduct the Annual Meeting of the Moi University Alumni. The main work of the Association is carried out by the Alumni Executive Board; this committee cover such areas as alumni events, communications, Alumni AGMs, Alumni Dinner and the School Alumni Associations. The Executive Board holds three slated meetings each year within Moi University vicinity.
