An endowment fund will soon be launched by Moi University Council. The fund will include endowed funds that are donated to University which are meant to be invested to grow the principal and provide additional income for future investing and expenditures and non-endowed donations intended to support specified initiatives within the University.

A policy will be developed to provide guidelines on management and allocations of the funds that will yield the targeted returns. The management of the endowed portfolio will aim to yield sufficient returns to provide an annual stable amount for spending and also to preserve the capital so that future generations can benefit in the same manner as current generations.

The endowment fund will support establishment of a scholarship fund to support needy students, improvements on campus living environment, funding research activities and endowed professorships and chairs. As an alumni member you are an important stakeholder of the University and you are called upon to donate to the endowment fund.
