It is an exceptional honour for me to engage with our alumni for the first time as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Moi University through this newsletter.  This newsletter serves as a platform for alumni to connect with the happenings in the University.
When I reflect on the calibre of alumni that the University has produced since its inception in 1984, it gives me joy and courage to boast that indeed, Moi University is a good University and continues to be the University of choice globally.
Ours is indeed the University that deliberately translates knowledge into practice with a societal focus. To our University, alumni define who we really are in terms of quality of service to mankind. We welcome our alumni and significantly seek for collaboration and partnering with them.
Moi is your alma mater and you are therefore indispensable to the well-being of the University. The University, as part of rebranding, has integrated the Alumni Office into the International Office, making it a vibrant Directorate whose intention is to give it more presence.
We seek for sponsorships, scholarships, grants, infrastructure development support and mentoring programmes from all of our alumni. We also plead that you truly depict who we are in all your life engagements.
In conclusion, staying connected through experiences at Moi University is a single but powerful bond, and provides the opportunity to reflect on your time at Moi University and the rich tradition and growing community that make your alma mater unique.
I am sure you all have special memories of Moi, including the bonds you made with roommates, friends and professors, as well as the classes and experiences that touched your lives.
There is no better way to keep those memories and that meaning than actively being part of the Moi University Alumni Association. I encourage you to connect with each other, give back to the University and take advantage of the opportunities Moi University continues to offer.
This is your alumni association. Please join your fellow Moi University alumni in exploring and participating in its dynamic programmes and services today, and begin to add great new Moi University memories to those you already have. Wherever you might be, remember, you always have a home at Moi University.
