The cohort comprised Dulo Nyaoro, Jacob Otsula, Jared Agu, Jeremmy Ng’ang’a, Jane Ondigo, Ziporah Toroitich Chebet, Wako Selebwa and Catherine Ageyo.
The group promised to come back for a reunion this November. They deliberated on a number of activities to revamp the alumni association such as mentorship for students and using their networks to transform the waning infrastructure of the University. Prof. Ayiro said it was gratifying to see people who had been at the University before as students coming back home.
“It is a source of encouragement to the rest. It is a value we are inculcating into our students. Even when your mother is blind, you don’t run away from her, because whatever the circumstances, she still remains your adorable mother,” said Prof. Ayiro.
